Creating stuff
- Art tools:
- Inkscape - Free vector editing tool. It's pretty good but the version that works with my old drawing tablet is only supported by an old version of the tool, so I'm sure it's fixed some of my irritations since.
- GIMP - Still waiting for that better UI fork to take off but I've made a ton of stuff with it
- Blender - I've made some shit professionally with the OG UI but man
- Paint.net - just use gimp the only benefit to this one is faster startup
- Game Engines:
- Unity - Love-hate. I've built a career from it and the CEO nuked its viability after the last year. It's so miserable to work with and its more miserable to work without.
- IDE's:
- Jetbrains Rider - Jetbrains makes some amazing products, and their C# IDE is no different. I use it for work and I never wanna go back
- MS Visual Studio - After using Rider it just makes me sad lol
- VS Code - It's really a good all arounder code interface but its fine.
- Other:
- Audacity - Free audio editing. It's dependable; I use this all the time. I heard the new owners put like a coin miner or some shit so I didn't update to that one
- DaVinci Resolve - Video editing. I think it's the free community version but it has a decent timeline editor and it's better than several others I've tried.
General
- Sourcetree - ok i need this I need a visual tree for git history i can't live on the command line alone
- SpaceSniffer - Honestly you gotta get this one, seeing how much space every file/folder takes up on a drive is huge
- EarTrumpet - I literally swear by this. The ability to equalize sound per audio device is a lifesaver. Xbox games tend to ignore it an open at full blast, but everything else will be a good volume whether you use headphones or external speakers.
- Voice Meeter Banana - Gets the job done of being a virtual Equalizer. Really helps my soft-spoken voice get heard in discord and has further control for managing the different base volume levels between speakers and headphones simultaneously. I wish it was a little better with marking outputs as optional but it's alright.
- Discord - I'm howling at the moon. I use it daily but I'm growing ever more suspicious that the owners will ruin it soon. I adore the custom emotes, plus I connected my account to twitch for those bonus emotes

Music
I think the spotify links has all the meaningful stuff. Maybe i could do like a song breakdown, or every band > 10 songs? Like maybe I could have a couple bands that I care about but I basically... don't care that much.
